A business is born.

They say it all starts with an idea, but what happens when that idea sits within your heart for many, many years? It, whatever “it” is, needs action to make it come to life. And this is the point from which I start to write to you from. From a point of taking action and making my idea, some call it a dream, a reality.

My “it” was to own my own bridal business. It truly was something I wanted since I was small and had nearly happened a few times but life has this habit of getting in the way, hence I had to wait until 2025, a milestone birthday and house move to make it real.

You could call me a bit of a late-starter, but that’s something I fully embrace. Having lived and worked in the south east forever, the town of Horsham has been my home for many years. I love it and it is where I thought I would raise a family until, as mentioned above, life got in the way and my own family wasn’t on the cards. What was on the cards was working with some wonderful and inspirational business people, helping them on their journeys and wherever possible, lifting women up to showcase what we are all capable of. Now, I am smashing that passion, my creativity and my years of business expertise together and building my own business - one that is for women, run by women and those who support women in business. It is brand new and shiny, and the only true similarity to parenthood that I know to be true is that no two days are the same, you never know what to expect and that no one really seems to know what they are doing (despite how it may look from the outside!). This is my first little business and I am already very proud of what we, me along with friends and family, have achieved. Welcome to the world my little one!

We can be found in a custom studio on the upper level at City Business Centre, Brighton Road in Horsham.

So, I am delighted to introduce you to Bride and the Party: a place to find the perfect wedding, bridesmaid and prom dress in the heart of Horsham; a place to pick up gifts and accessories for the bridal party; and a place to discover local wedding experts and vendors.

Each quarter, I will be sending out a newsletter to anyone who cares to subscribe (it means you won’t miss any of our news, articles and guest features). Some of the articles will be found here on the blog and others will be exclusive to our subscribers.
